I know canon spend millions on r & d and it shows here. colour, documenet feed, 15 pages per minute and it's smaller than a box of biscuits. love it love it love it. All for about 200 quid. amazing. p.s. it scans business cards perfectly and upto a4 too. (Posted on 6/22/10)

This is a great little scanner. I dont know how they make something of this quality for the price. I bought it to scan a4 site notes (builder) and it does that perfectly although I've also scanned business cards which it took through really well. The great thing is its powered by the usb port on my laptop so it doesnt need an external power supply although there is one that comes with it if you need to use it. We have seen many "portable" scanners and this one stands out a mile. First of all it looks nice - shiny black plastic - and the design is very, well, Apple really. The software is stores on the scanner and with a document feeder it can scan 15 pages a minute which means its a great scanner for "on the go" use but also perfect as a desktop scanner for the typical office worker. Canon can be proud of what it’s achieved here.

The Canon imageFORMULA P-150 is much lighter and better-looking than the competition. Only the ScanSnap S300 can get close on portability, but that scanner isn’t as powerful or as capable of as quality-capable as the Canon. Fujitsu’s bigger S510 does compare well in these areas, and actually beats the Canon’s 20-page sheet fed (offering 50 sheets instead). However, it’s much larger and thus far more difficult to transport. If you want fast quality scans on the road, the Canon imageFORMULA P-150 is currently the perfect balance of performance and portability. (Posted on 1/9/10)
